Thank you for visiting sarabuttprints I live in Poole, Dorset, England with my husband and two wonderful children. Born in Kingston-upon-Thames, Surrey, England, I moved with my family at the age of 14 to Poole where a few years later I studied Illustration and Graphics at Bournemouth and Poole College of Art and Design. My career started as part time with commissions of dogs, cats and horses, whilst I worked full time for a company creating designs for enamel giftware. When my family arrived I left work and became freelance leaving me more time to concentrate on my painting.

Having the luxury of living near the seaside with a young family and good weather, we spend a lot of time on the beach. This is where I get my inspiration for painting children playing and enjoying themselves. It is amazing how sand and water can keep children occupied all day and every day. Oh, and yes, of course the ice creams also help. A local gallery selling my cat paintings were interested in the beach work. So they put me into an exhibition and the paintings just took off and have been successful ever since. The comments made to the galleries from buyers are usually that the pictures hold a memory for everyone, of when they were children or of their own children. I think this is why they are successful. My paintings are mainly exhibited in the South of England and are sold to art lovers all over the world. If you want to be informed of upcoming exhibitions please email me at sbp.enquiries@btinternet.com

Wanting to keep up with my animal paintings, especially cats as they have always been a part of my life since I was a very young child, I exhibited in London and by chance found out the gallery held an exhibition for the Society of Feline Artists (SOFA). After my first exbition with SOFA I became a memberáand haveáshown my work with other feline artists in the society in London, the Llewellyn Alexander Gallery in Bristol, Wareham and other local events. Before joining I never realied what a world of cat lovers we are.

Whilst on a day trip to my local Zoo in Marwell with my children, I noticed they also have an art society producing a very high standard of work in their exhibitions This was a great opportunity to broaden my horizons as I had experimented with wildlife paintings in the past but never went completely in that direction. I found working with wildlife truly motivated me in the same way as domestic cat painting; catching their expressions, the eye contact and the detail in the fur. It certainly is a challenge. I am now in my 2nd year with Marwell International Art Society
